With an impressive career spanning over 20 years in teaching and research, Dr. Kunwar has significantly advanced the field of Clinical Embryology and Human Anatomy.
Dr. Kunwar has held teaching positions at prominent institutions such as the Medical University of Americas, the Nepalese Army Institute of Health Sciences – College of Medicine, Nobel Medical College, and Kathmandu Medical College. His extensive research includes studies on Alzheimer’s disease, neuroanatomy, developmental biology, and genetic analysis, with his findings published in esteemed journals like Neuron and PNAS.
In addition to his academic and research pursuits, Dr. Ajaya Jang Kunwar is actively involved in professional organizations. He serves as the President of the Neuroscience Society of Nepal and is a member of the International Brain Regional Organization (IBRO) and the Society for Neuroscience (SFN) in the United States.
Dr. Ajaya Jang Kunwar’s expertise in the biomedical field is vast, encompassing confocal and electron microscopy, ICSI, and embryo biopsy. His specialized training in Clinical Embryology and Embryo Biopsy from the Asia Pacific Institute of Embryology in Mysore, India, underscores his dedication to advancing medical knowledge in Nepal.
Dr. Ajaya Jang Kunwar holds post-doctoral fellowships in Neuroscience from Ohio State University, USA, a PhD from Georg August University, Goettingen, Germany, and a Master’s degree in Human Anatomy from B. P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Nepal. His unwavering commitment to serving the community and his contributions to Nepal’s biomedical sector are truly commendable.
